Directional light issue

Hey,

I’ve been trying to figure out how to fix this for 2 days now, but I can’t seem to fix my directional light (movable, used in DOT system) to not shine from underneath my terrain (or from behind mountains) etc.

What should I do? Thanks in advance

Check “Shadow Two-Sided” in your terrain properties. If youre getting glow on your foliage from underneath the terrain in a night scene, set your directional light intensity to almost zero.

"Shadow Two-Sided"is already checked in my terrain properties. When it turns night, and therefor the light / “sun” is under the terrain, I do already set the intensity to 0

If your directional light is set to zero, you need to figure out where your light is coming from

The thing is that it doesn’t always stays zero. I of course need it to fade towards my normal value again, which is where it starts to bug through the terrain once more

Bumping the thread ~

Can you put a plane under your terrain to block the sun light ?

Would that be so efficient?
