Difference between 'Distance Field Shadows' and 'Raytraced Distance Field Shadows'

In Supported Rendering Features the following information is provided:

All information I can find is to enable Distance Field in project settings, build the distance fields and then in the Light Details, set the parameters in the Distance Field Shadows section. These parameters all deal with the Ray Traced Shadows - unfortunately not supported on Mobile.

So, what are simple ‘Distance Field Shadows’ in that table, which are marked as supported on Mobile? How are these being used?

They require you to build volumetric lightmaps for your level using Lightmass though.

Hi Rawalanche, thanks so much for leading me into the right direction. If Epic just did name this one as Distance Field Indirect Shadows in the above table… :slight_smile:
In a world with so many parameters and options, namings of features are so important.
I’ll check this one out. Thanks for providing the solution to my question.
