DFAO/SSAO : turns off when you apply a light function material to your light?

I was wondering if anyone’s found a solution to this?

If I place a movable unshadowed light in the map, it gets SSAO/DFAO applied to it which is correct. But the moment I apply a light shader to it (so the light can blink with a scrolling texture), the SSAO/DFAO disappears and that doesn’t make any sense.

I was wondering if maybe you had to turn on some special AO inside the light material to get it to use AO like the standard light material does, but i’m not seeing any special AO nodes that sound like they’re for that…

so this could easily just be an engine bug, but i figured i’d ask first before bugreporting it.

Hello! Did you ever find a fix for this? I’m having the exact same issue and I really need SSAO in my scene!
