Summary
Devices are desyncing on my UEFN. My Guard Spawners show different values in game and in the editor.
The only way I have been able to fix this the last couple days is to delete the device and replace with a new one. However this does not always act as a permanent fix with the bug returning on several occasions.
Sometimes if I place a new Guard Spawner in UEFN it doesn’t work right from the start. This forces me to place the assets in game and hope they work on the editor side.
As a side not, this all started when I was trying to reference a Guard Spawner in a verse device the other day and it gave an error. Something along the lines of “Verse device referencing an asset that doesn’t exist” even when the asset was right in front of my face.
Steps to Reproduce
Place a Guard Spawner, change some values. Do some testing by starting and stopping the game. I’ve had my crash a few times during testing through a “connection lost” error.
Expected Result
Devices (more specifically Guard Spawners) will stop taking updates. You will no longer be able to change values and they will be desynced from UEFN to FN Creative.
Observed Result
I don’t know what other user testing my produce.
