Device options limits increase

After 37.00 Epic has announced a fix to the “copy/paste method” which would basically allow you to paste numeric values that would go beyond the allowed limit of the device itself.
While this is a good change for better stability to the tools, there are a lot of devices and options that really need higher limits/no limits at all.
So here I’m going to list what I think should be increased before this change is live:

HUD Message Device
Layer: the HUD message device is still very useful for creating dynamic widgets, with editable text through verse. The Layer option however removes the fun for this. There are currently 5 max layers that can be shown on screen.

Requested change: at least 128 layers. We should be able to have unlimited layers, but if there’s the need to keep the limit, please make it at least reasonable. 5 is really low.

Volume devices:
Volume devices width/depth/height can reach a max of 100 tiles. Combined with the 5x scale limit, it’s 500 tiles. This is not enough for large maps, where you need a central unique volume that manages the whole map.

Requested change: either 1000.0 x limit in the device settings, or 50x device scale limit.

Map Controller:
Map Capture Box Size: Same as volume devices. The current limitation (500 tiles) is NOT enough for bigger maps, where the only way to calculate a good mini map is through the copy/paste method.

Requested change: 2500 tiles. That should be enough to cover all maps.

Explosive Device:
Blast radius: the explosive device is really useful for destroying builds at runtime in FFA maps. Its current radius limit is a problem, though. 10 tiles is not enough to reset builds in the whole map. It’s understandable that an extremely high radius would cause performance issues, but consider that the same result would be obtainable by using more than one explosive devices. Increasing the radius is just a huge time and memory saver.

Requested change: 70/100 tiles. That should be enough to cover a big FFA map.

Timer Device:
Duration: the current timer duration (60 minutes) is not enough for some maps.

Requested change: up to 4 hours, which is the server’s time limit. This would mean adding proper hour display support, since as of now the device only shows minutes:seconds.

Damage Amplifier Powerup Device:
Damage Magnitude: 4.0x is non-sense limit. No game engine has such limits.

Requested change: 1 000 000.0x (1 million). Creators shouldn’t even have a limit in first place on this. But if there’s the need, make it high, it’s really useful to make overpowered secret items/abilities that make the player feel powerful. If this is not possible, AT LEAST bring it up to 100x, for proper damage upgrade systems in games like tycoons/roguelikes etc.

I may have made some mistakes. There may be other devices that need higher limits. So if anyone has other limits to add, I’ll be glad to add them to this post.

I agree but the server time is now 19 hours so the timer itself should be 24hr as standard for when your wanting to have full 1 day rewards ect
