Hello Aenoxic,

I just followed your steps to reproduce, and my placed ClassDesigner is still there.

BUT the ‘Tripod’ BaseMesh is now gone! To add clarification to this bug - do you mean to say that the “ClassDesigner BaseMesh reference is now Empty/Null/Cleared/Invisible?” (To me, gone/nonexistent/deleted are equivalent)

If you search the Outliner for ClassDesigner you’ll be able to see if they are gone or just invisible.

Thank you.

Any update @epic?
Can someone post here if it DOESNT happen to them?

It has always been the case for me that the Class Designer goes invisible after next reload, and stays that way until anything is modified (you can even tick/untick “class identifier”) and then it will stay visible until next play/reload.

are you gatekeeping this by any chance? I dont see why it never got the usual bugtracker responses etc. Actually, I see that a lot on these threads… like most things seem to just… get ignored? Is there something that needs to be done differently to have things acknowledged?

Hi Hicsy,

I have nothing to do with that bug-tracker bot, I just like to follow the reproduction steps to see if any extra info/clarification is needed. (I blame years spent working in Quality Assurance for this impulse )

In this case, I was able to verify the bug, but called the poster out on imprecise language, The ClassDesigner is not “gone”, it’s still there, but the visual representation/mesh turns invisible. I just re-verified and it’s still happening. (Able to reproduce this just by loading a different level and then loading back in)

The bug-reporting processes were not as robust in the spring of 2024 as they are now, so just bumping this thread could get bug-tracker to notice. If you don’t see any acknowledgement in a week I’d try creating a new issue for this.
