Deselect and De-highlight

Hello all, 2 pretty short questions:

  1. How can i deselect everything in render window? not to select landscape or select skyplane, but deselect - like ctrl-d in photoshop. Is here same option?
  2. How can i disable highlight from splines? so, i did spline, and when i selecting something another - spline anyway highlighted with green color. How to change it to “not-highlighted when not-selected”?

kk, have found 2nd - to remove highlight from splines: Show - advanced - splines, in render window options

and 1th - to deselect anything needs just to press esc. x)
