Derived Data Cache

Can you reduce the size of the derived data cache as it has grown to 16gb and keeps growing rapidly.


You can actually just delete it. A new one will be created when you start the editor back up (and you’ll need to let it recompile shaders and do its thing). I do wish the size would stay more reasonable though.

I would suggest, you store the data on a different drive instead of your OS or C drive. if you want to change the file destination please go open Unreal engine > Edit > Editorial preferences > settings > global. There you can choose your path for the files to be stored,
