hi,
I’m rendering a scene to .exr with depth pass (see attachment) and the distance seems to be limited. roughly behind that last line of trees, all values on the depth map are the same, even though there is quite a lot of terrain, visible in color pass.
can anybody tell me what to do to make the Z pass span entire scene? or how to set the distance manually?
I’m new to UE but I’ve been working with depth passes before so I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong in post. just set black and white points with grade node in Nuke. attaching preview of different values so you can see that the clipping point doesn’t move. there is just zero information.
I’ve found some tutorial on how to render Z depth separately from the scene, but I’m hoping there is an easier way.
in case those information matter, I’m rendering with path tracer, no volumetric fog, PostProcessVolume is set to infinite.
any hints appreciated,
thanks
