Define oculus DK2 camera position in project for positioning

Hi,

I’m using Oculus Rift with a webcam attached to it for some AR testing (I have a room under construction and the model of that room in the project), but I’m having some difficulties syncing up real life and virtual positioning.
Is it possible to define a stationary location of the IR camera inside the project and use it as a reference for positioning? (I wouldn’t move in the project at all with controllers, just with the head)
So the idea is that I put the IR camera geometrically to the same spot as in the project and then when I open the project it should get my heads position relatively to the camera.

Is my question a bit confusing? Here’s a picture to illustrate:

The Infrared tracker has been positioned to a specific location in the project and the user can only move in its boundaries.
I’m just asking if this is technically possible.
Can the IR camera measure realistic distances from the infrared lights on the headset?
Does the unreal syntax allow specific positioning of the IR camera?

simply place your player actor at the position he/she would stand in the real room - maybe we don’t understand your problem
you can move the camera around in the actor blueprint if you need to adjust height.
