Hi, so when I updated to ue4.13 some of my levels were crashing whenever I loaded them, I then updated to 4.14 and still had the same problem, today I tried adding A deferred decal to 1 of my working levels and it crashed, I tried adding a deferred decal to an empty map and it also crashed. Then I realized that all the previous levels that haven’t been working have decals in them & the ones working have none, so I assume the decals are the cause.
Is there anyone who knows how to resolve this issue?
I don’t have a solution to this, but I’m commenting to say that I’m having the issue as well. However we had one computer that the decals were working on. However for me, just searching for items that have the decal on them will crash the editor.
Hey I Create Art!,
Can you provide me with a way to reproduce this in a new blank project?
I have attempted a few different different ways to get it to crash, but have been unsuccessful thus far. Let me know if you have additional questions.
Cheers,

I’m also having this issue with 4.14.1 whilst following the Lighting QuickStart tutorial. Attached the log file which only shows the save immediately before log file and dx diag system info, if there is anything else I can send over to help you get to the bottom of this then please feel free to ask.

Hi Kaidoe,
Could you provide your Machine ID or a screenshot of the callstack that pops up when the engine crashes? I need that info to look up your specific crash to investigate what is going on.

It was a driver issue, anyone with the same problem should try updating or rolling back their drivers, roll back worked for me at the time of the issue, and now the latest update also resolves the problem.
It was a graphics driver issue, (specifically the radeon r9 380 Crimson-16.2.1 may 2016 drivers in my case) I had to completely remove it and install another version, then decals and my levels worked fine. Anyone with the same problem should try updating or rolling back their graphics drivers, roll back worked for me at the time of the issue, and now the latest update also resolves the problem.
