Summary
Hello,
For several weeks, my UEFN map (1186-5766-0282) has been repeatedly targeted by a highly disruptive malicious user. On a daily basis, this individual joins active sessions and appears to generate abnormal amounts of network traffic, likely through external or unauthorized software. This consistently results in severe lag, freezes, session instability, and frequent crashes affecting all players in the session.
This situation has caused:
- repeated session crashes,
- significant performance degradation,
- a sharp decline in daily player activity,
- and ongoing damage to the stability and reputation of the map.
Members of my community now routinely warn me as soon as the attacker joins a session, as the issue occurs almost systematically when certain usernames appear. In approximately 90% of cases, the session begins to lag or crash shortly after this user enters. Some players also recognize the attacker’s voice when he briefly speaks before the session destabilizes.
The attacker constantly creates new Fortnite accounts, which makes individual account reports or bans ineffective. By the time the reporting system identifies an account, the damage has already been done and a new account is already in use. As a result, current reporting and detection methods do not meaningfully address the issue.
This strongly suggests a broader technical vulnerability that allows Fortnite Creative / UEFN sessions to be intentionally crashed or heavily degraded, potentially by retrieving session-related information and flooding the session with abnormal data traffic using third-party tools. This does not appear to be a player-specific issue, but rather a systemic exploit that requires deeper technical investigation.
The issue occurs every day, particularly around 19:00 (Paris time) on EU servers, and can be reliably observed during those periods. My map normally supports up to 50 players per session and reaches 150–200 concurrent players during peak weekend hours. However, due to repeated abuse of this exploit, player retention and community engagement are steadily declining.
At this point, I am requesting serious assistance from Epic / UEFN support to:
-
investigate the underlying technical cause of these crashes and performance issues,
-
identify the individual or method responsible,
-
and apply effective countermeasures such as IP-level and/or device-level bans, as account-based actions alone are insufficient.
Generic or standard recommendations have unfortunately not resolved the problem. A thorough investigation into the root cause is urgently needed.
Thank you for your time and attention. I am available to provide any additional information, logs, or details that may help your investigation.

Steps to Reproduce
I don’t know exactly, but probably DDOS software that integrates the session IP address into it.
Expected Result
Prevent DDOS attacks on creative maps
Observed Result
Many packets are detected, and after a while everyone crashes out of the session.
