Daz3D to Unreal 4/5 bridge it does not work

This is not good. Have you tried to use older versions? Yesterday, I was able to export Genesis 9 and only the eyebrows materials are not setup correctly. You may need to uninstall everything again and install an older version.

Yes, I tried to use older versions 4.26 & 4.27 and it seems the bridge no longer works in those versions either same with the versions of the bridge which i have tried others from Github none work now, which is strange because they did work in older version 4 up till the point version 5 was released then the bridge was updated and since it has not worked in any version.
I have stated this in many Youtubes shown on the web that claim it works because whatever version Unreal is giving me the bridge no longer works in.

Seems I can get no support on this issue and i have tried every solution i can find on the internet suggested to fix the problem nothing works so i put this down to development because it’s working fine in Unity as i have shown.

Daz3D is working correctly there in Unity, so nothing is wrong with the way i have it installed.
Unity Works perfectly it imports everything from character models & skeleton meshes for props like cars with all textures as well as static props when selected.

So this says both my Daz3D & Unity setups are fine and there must be something wrong with the Unreal version 5.03 and its updates to bridges because i have reinstalled many times on 4 different drives with the same result…
Access Error in the Q4coredll file, why? i don’t know something in Unreal is not liking that file which isn’t corrupt it’s in perfect working order or i would not be able to use any content online in my daz3d library as it wouldn’t connect too & update it if that file was corrupt.

I also tested this in the new version of Unreal 5.1.0 preview 2 and Daz3D isn’t even recognised at all if you’re using the install for 5 because that seems only to be for version 5.0.3.

THE BRIDGE DOES NOT WORK IN UNREAL! any version now please fix this Unreal is not usable for me till then.

Can only hope some dev’s look at these posts because it seems the be falling on deaf ears.

I just went through all of the above. I feel your pain. If something is advertised via Unreal/Epic - it is a promise to ensure we get customer satisfaction as we are paying customers for products promoted via Daz, their partner- who are not keeping a clear line of process to Epic’s standards. Some serious communication need to be had between the two companies to ensure we don’t waste our precious time on 404 error links and having to chase Github threads because what was offered and marketed is dysfunctional.

Just checking out, are you still having issues?

Hey LFA - I resorted to pretend to “send to Unreal”, selected desired morph targets and exported to CVS, cancelled “Send to Unreal”, selected export as (FBX) added morphs from premade CVS to avoid adding one by one. This works, but requires more work post import to unreal, and is obviously not what was promised by Daz3D. On a side note- doing a clean install of your graphics card driver is a MUST.

After taking a long break, renovating a new office space for development, i’m now back developing on 5.2, so far i have yet too fully test out if the new version of the bridge is compatible, will report any success and post pictures, i’m really hoping to get back too work in Unreal with the new version 5.2 & up because while i had put everything on hold waiting for an update that would work correctly with the most recent Unreal version.
Since 5 uses a new Mannequin the setup is different to the old 4.26,4.27 where it once had worked.

There is a manually long and tedious way of adding models in yes but as you point out the bridge is sold here on the marketplace as a product to make exporting & importing easier via both engines, DAZ3D advertises this and boasts about it’s connection too many editors, Unreal & Unity being the most popular engines the gaming community uses. The bridge works fine in Unity, tested in most versions and it works great, but the bridge had worked better in Unreal, certain functions make Unreal easier to work with over Unity plus i have a ton of resources for Unreal i would like to use along with my DAZ3D content, it’s already so much work getting models to function correctly in games i really need this bridge to reduce workload & keep efficient, as a solo developer i need all the help i can get from the community and market sellers, i need reliable products to use in my projects that integrate easily without much hassle of major knowledge of coding as i’m still learning many functions of Unreal years after starting my resource collection for game development so i need the most intuitive help programs that make development as a single person possible, without them it’s like swimming against the tide.

I am now happy to report all is working well with DaztoUnreal 5.2.1

I successfully exported my Daz3D character, it’s been since 4.27 I haven’t been able to do this, once again back in business!
It’s even setting the eyes correctly now, where i had to connect them via the widget blueprint before to fix cornea problems. Look perfect now on first export.
Full Armoured characters work well just some parts need adjusting in the blueprint.

The new version works correctly so i assume they fixed the DLL issue because it was stopping me from porting anything in previous versions.

I can’t send my character to unreal too

This problem seems intermittent throughout versions till the most recent, now the bridge seems to be selective allowing me to port one or two assets then not allowing me other crashing giving me the same old DLL violation error.

This error is hardcoded and needs to be fixed by the developer, there is nothing that i am doing wrong when using this bridge it just either works or in most cases not.

seems to be a big problem with attachments & shells this version where they worked last version.

I mean the bridge has improved a-lot since 4.26 but some versions are a step back so you must wait for a better version.

That most recent version update by Unreal really killed everything that was working now back to waiting for a fix which i already been waiting on this over a year, put off my projects and renovated my entire house yet this bridge still won’t work properly.
