Daydream VR is currently in a non-working condition ?

Does anyone at this time has a fully working sample of Daydream with correctly wortking motion controllers (MC) ? Judging from our current experience it’s impossible to get the MC working right at this point in time. We built the VR sample from the Unreal MC documentation and encountered lots of problems:

  1. The rotation from the daydream controller is not propagated correctly. In particular the center of roatation is not the pivot of the MC itself but is calculated on startup automatically ?
  2. The location of the controller is always inside the camera (centered) no matter where i place it in the blueprint hierarchy.
  3. The deploy time on android is way to high for a simple scene without starter content (about 10min usaually). 4.11.1 did the same thing in about 10 seconds on consecutive deployments. As a result current 4.13.1 version is to expensive for interative testing on Android.
  4. The screen orientation (tested in Nexus6) has random behavior on each build (sometimes its horizontal, sometines vertical).
  5. Screen flickering problems where notices as well as if the refresh rate drops to 30Hz when launching the app after deployment. Brightness is also adjusted on launch to insane levels and appears to bright to the eye. Can this behavior be changed/edited somewhere in the properties ?
