Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a Star Wars island in UEFN.
  2. Place static environment props or structures.
  3. Set Environment Damage to Off in Island Settings.
  4. (Optionally) place a Prop Manipulator and set the affected props to invulnerable.
  5. Launch a fresh session or test a fresh private version.
  6. Transform into Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine.
  7. Use the rock-throw ability near placed props/environment pieces.

Expected Result

Vader and Emperor abilities should not destroy protected or non-destructible environment props when Environment Damage is disabled.

Observed Result

The rock-throw ability still destroys props/environment pieces. Specifically this behavior was noticed with some Outpost Enclave assets, like walls, stairs, etc, but I noticed it with other assets such as the interior of the sandcrawler prefab. It’s likely happening with other assets as well.

PC, PS5 (only platforms I’ve tested on, probably breaks on all though)

This appears related to the previously reported forum thread about Star Wars Force abilities destroying environment assets, which was closed as a duplicate of internal issue FORT-1068173. I can still reproduce this after 40.20.

I can confirm this. Scared the heck out of me when the entire building collapsed on my when using the rock throw ability

I have a solution for uefn developers(i t know if this option is available for creative users)

Select the prop that gets destroyed → set can be destroyed to off

This solved the issue for me(yes, I went through the process of setting this check box to off for every prop in my game)

How many times do we have to go through this- it even deletes devices…

The force abilities also ignore mutator zones(weapon fire set to off)

Thank you for this. It’s technically under Actor → Can Be Damaged, but you just saved me hours of my life.

Darth Vader can force push / pull small starships. Of course he can crush some rocks or buildings.
