Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Content Browser.
  2. Grab a damage trap.
  3. Observe the fact that it no longer has a blue tint for you and your teammates.
  4. Switch teams after placing the trap
  5. Trigger the trap and observe the fact that the spikes no longer visually disappear when triggered, and also they no longer have a sound for when they reappear.

Expected Result

  1. Team Damage traps have a blue tint to them (enemy ones do not)
  2. The spikes on the damage traps visually disappear when triggered.
  3. Damage traps have a reload sound for when the spikes reappear notifying the player that the trap is no longer safe to stand on.

Observed Result

  1. Damage traps are colored the same no matter who places them (The Player/their teammates, and the enemy)
  2. The spikes on the damage trap no longer visually disappear when the trap is triggered.
  3. The spikes on the damage trap no longer make a sound for when they reappear.

Additional Notes

Apologies for the video not being the best showcase for this problem, but its fairly difficult to find a good video showcasing how traps should work. The video still shows how traps should work by showing the following below.

  1. Damage traps are colored blue for the guy in the video.
  2. The spikes on the damage traps disappear when the trap gets triggered.
  3. The spikes on the damage trap make a sound when they reappear notifying the player that the trap can be triggered again by an enemy player.
Also please fix this, it makes deathruns (and honestly any other creative map with damage traps in them) much worse to play. For example in a deathrun If I bait a trap I won’t be able to know when the trap is or isn’t safe to stand on anymore. It just turns it into a guessing game.
Another example is in a zone wars map with damage traps in them. If my teammate decides to put a trap down without me noticing it. It will literally be impossible to know if the damage trap belongs to my team or an enemy’s team. This causes you to have to unnecessarily avoid a trap that is safe for me and my team to stand on.
