Cycle through grayscale texture

Very quick material question, can’t find anything on google.

I am creating a grayscale material that is half black and half white

Am i able, through using the time node to cycle these shades so the black sections fade to white as the white sections fade to black?

I tried attaching a sine and cosine node but that didn’t work.

My closes thought is to somehow blend the texture with a minusone inversed version of its self and use the sine to adjust the intensity of the blend, but that is coming from a substance designer mindset, not sure how efficient or even if that would be possible.
