i am looking for a method to genrate ground fog and remove part of it if objects placed on the fog and replace it if the object removed. Exactly like in that game Drake hollow.
thats probably done with a sphere mask. the fog is actually a mesh and it gets “cut” with a sphere mask. on top of that you have an actual sphere or cylinder around the player with the same radius as the sphere mask and an animated tiling texture with alphamap…
