Custom keyboard input not functioning on in blueprint- Beginners question

Hi there!
I am attempting to trigger an animation in the VR Templare via blueprints and have assigned a key but it does not seem to activate when i test this in play mode. I am not seeing the ‘live’ string coming from the input in the blueprint window.
Am i missing a setting somewhere that I need to check?! All other default inputs work just fine. Thanks in advance!
