Custom camera lag for multiplayer?


While the UE4 provides a handy camera lag feature within it (As shown for example here), this feature is broken for a long time now whenever replication becomes an issue (Question Hub Thread and Backlogged Issue).

Since this issue seems not to be a priority at Epic, does anyone know of an alternative way to implement camera lag? Has maybe anyone already demonstrated how it works without requiring too much resources?
