Curve editor cannot animate alpha curve

Inside the curve editor for a LinearColor curve asset I can only add keys for the RGB curves.
The alpha curve is there but cannot be used. Even when I lock and hide all RGB curves I cannot change the values of the alpha curve.

Thank you for your report. We have corrected this issue in 4.8. If this has become a blocker for your project, please look at upgrading a copy of your project when 4.8 Releases.
