[Critical] UEFN Crashing regularly since 41.00 with excessive memory usage

I uploaded mine to my Drive.
It’s currently pretty impossible to work without crashing. VSCode takes excessive memory and crashes very frequently. It crashes very quickly if the file you’re trying to edit is long.

The other big issue is after a crash I’m forced to restart my PC because I can’t launch a live edit session again.
Would appreciate if this was given priority because the state of the Editor is very bad right now.

We can’t download the first file for some reason, @ozycreates

Re-uploaded it:

I’m also experiencing the same problem! I have 32GB of memory.

I tried having only UEFN, Fortnite, and VSC open but UEFN still ended up crashing. It happened in two different map files.

Same

was having similar issues yesterday, 32 gb memory consistently filled to top and crashed, and verse extension was crashing repeatedly as well. today though hasn’t crashed yet and memory is looking much more steady

I thought i’m the only one getting these errors after the new season update

Sometimes fortnite get fatal error, sometimes uefn just freezes, and if it’s not saved its lost time. I bought 5080 to work free-erros. But after recent update i have to restart UEFN/FORTNITE more often than with 3060ti

Getting the same issue, tried re-installing and verifying files but still just crashes due to “Out of memory”.

It also crashed all other apps that I have open at the time until UEFN fully shuts down

Getting this also

Same here.

I have the exact same problem. This error has been occurring for me since the last update. I’ve been following the reports and discussions about it for about a week now, but the problem persists.

Unfortunately, none of the suggested solutions, tips, and advice have helped me.

Is there an official statement or any information about whether a solution is being worked on? Is anything being done about this problem, and is a corresponding update planned?

FORT-1114647 has been ‘Backlogged’. This is an issue that is in a queue to be addressed.

For any general out-of-memory issues:

  • Look at the editor log, search for final LogMemory: Platform Memory Stats in the log file
  • Compare Process Virtual Memory vs the system’s total Virtual Memory
  • Also, look at the system’s total Virtual Memory

Example, would be total virtual memory - process virtual memory = how much other programs are using up

Editor is using:
20,026.51 MB virtual memory

Other programs are using: (66703.16 - 20026.51)
46,676.65 MB virtual memory

From there, investigate other programs’ virtual memory usage to see which are using the most, or whether there are too many programs running.

The issue is this started happening overnight with 41.00.

I crash constantly just from having VSCode open more than a minute for simple script changes.

No other programs running other than UEFN and Fortnite. Something is very wrong and doesn’t have to do with other apps taking up memory.

Your Windows page file is too small; you’ll need to edit it to make it much larger.

We’ll need your project here, Ozy, so we can try to reproduce it. Could I get your project ID or Island code please?
