Critical - FN Props / Building Pieces don't save correctly in editor compared to live. Resets to snap when changes are made pushed.

Had an issue today where I was trying to build with walls and props with build-a-prop on and in-game everything was fine but when I went to the editor everything was on a grid-snap rotation or out of place. When I pushed changes to in-game it saved the editor states / orientation of those pieces.

Here is what I was building in game prior to pushing changes.

This is what it changed to once I pushed changes to in-game. This is what it looked like in the editor as well.

In-game image of props with random orientations.

Heres those same props but from inside the editor. As you can see, the props have snapped to a grid. This doesn’t show in-game.

How to replicate:

  • Open UEFN Editor
  • Launch Session into live editor
  • Once in live, grab any wall from any gallery
  • Turn Build-To-Prop on.
  • Place down Wall with no-grid snap. (Place off grid)
  • Check UEFN editor, Wall will now be snapped to grid.

Have you tried disabling editor cell snap? This is basically turning on build to prop in UEFN

This option can be found under Window ->World settings

The prominent occurance of this one resides deep within the Fortnite creative and UEFN discord today! Soon these bugs will be resolved. Rest Assured!

My Cell snap option is greyed out. Is there a way to fix this?

Edit: I found the solution if any one else gets stuck at this. I enabled snapping up in the top of the editor. Then the Cell snap wasn’t greyed out anymore and I was able to disable the Cell snap.
