CRITICAL BUG - Clicking on Landscape tool causes UEFN to completely freeze!

Hey,

I’ve had no incidents since removing the Waterzone.
Been doing some coastal sculpting so I haven’t added it back yet.

Will cut and paste the ocean now to get a Waterzone

Went for a little while with sculpt, flatten, hydro & noise sculpt tools.

Crashed with 0xfffffffffffffff

Hey, yes this issue has still been happening after the update!

However there are 2 known fixes/workarounds for this issue currently.

A lot of people have mentioned removing the waterzone has been successful for them.

And for me personally, one of my good friends helped me remake my landscape with a lower resolution.

This has allowed me to edit terrain, use the brush etc.

It is still an issue, however those are 2 workarounds i am aware of.

Do you think it is a lower resolution, or could it possibly be a newer landscape that works ?.

My landscape is really old, but replacing it is not an option unless I can copy the height and paint to a new mesh, but the resolution has to be the same.

I’m finding the problem only happens with subtractive sculpt tools…The depravity of Concavity !!

I’m using no waterzone as a workaround, put it back in later, hope it all comes out in the wash

There is no way this bug still exists…

Hi all! We are still tracking this issue. Unfortunately we have not been able to reproduce it.

There was an issue with opening minidumps in UEFN prior to 36.10. If possible, please update your projects to 36.10/36.20 and share a new minidump file from this crash.

The instructions for gathering a crash dump are earlier in this thread:

Thanks again for your patience!

Still happening, but also happens in the regular editor as well.
