Creatures do not begin following player until within close range; lose follow if player moves too far away

Summary

Creatures spawn correctly but their follow behavior is broken in two ways. First, they only begin following the player when the player is already close — they do not initiate following from a distance. Second, if the player runs too far away after the creature has started following, the creature stops and does not resume pursuit.

Steps to Reproduce

Spawn a creature.
Observe that the creature does not follow the player from a distance — it remains idle.
Walk close to the creature until it begins following.
Run away from the creature past a certain distance threshold.
Observe that the creature stops following and returns to idle.

Expected Result

Creatures should detect the player and begin following even if far away. Once following, creatures should continue to pursue the player regardless of distance.

Observed Result

Creatures only initiate follow behavior when the player is already nearby. If the player moves beyond a short distance while the creature is following, the creature stops pursuing and goes idle.
