Yep, legit creators seem to be the only casualty of all these anti-spam methods that fncreate has been forcing the last few months I guess cause clearly nothing about actual spam has been done.

Hey Flak, will this include games that are completly different from antother. For example will this prevent 2 driving games from being next to one another even if the games are 100% completly different games?

Edit: New and Updated and New Experiences updated around 11pm pst, Kpop and Fall Guys Collections still need the update. Still spam accounts but not the same ones, at least.
Like others say, this kinda hurts too, it furthers this meta of needing to spam new accounts with maps to avoid this sort of filtering moderation. just slightly modify each promo now and spam accounts harder shrug
While another step in the right direction, this wonât really fix the issue or really even help it at all. Nor will further limiting publishing of near-identical thumbnails.
For example, The #1 New and updated map right now is by a creator who has published the same Red Vs. Blue map 6 times on their account in the past week, with each one taking up prominent spots in the new and updated tab, at different times.
Furthermore, this just further encourages these creators to make multiple accounts making the issue even harder to track.

This account has all of its maps within Kpop collectionâs More Islands for more than 5 days. Collections need the same treatment as the 27th update gave.
Players have got to be sick and tired of seen this.
Spam maps have got to stop.
Discovery needs improving. I can design discovery system that just works. It will be better than the current Fortnite and Roblox discovery.
Discovery on Fortnite is like Netflix UI, side scrolling. This style does not work on computer games with majority of customers who are aged under 18. They donât know what they are looking at and seeing the same maps over and over. And to top it off they are now seeing spam maps over and over.
The Ui looks a mess and cluttered, nothing is fresh. The idea is to keep your customers on the game, not leave the game.
This only shows the changes theyâll implement to fight spam creators wonât do anything besides making it harder for genuine creators. I honestly donât understand why theyâre reluctant to use stronger measures, like removing people like this from the program. It shouldnât be that hard. You need to send your ID to Hyperwallet, so Iâm guessing when they fill in their tax ID theyâre using their real information.

Discovery is a F%$#ing joke. We all could see that there fix was going to do nothing. Why canât they?
14h later still controlling an entire tab. Here is them just offering their services off platform. Advertising this on their creator page. Some of their maps have been going for a year like this.
@Flak My map got removed from the tab for 6 of these spam maps that appeared in the New Updates This Week tab.
Discovery even put my map back in the tab 1 hour later. Without these spam maps my map would appear in the 6th position, getting more impressions. Other maps have missed out on this also.
This is poor behaviour from the creator and Epic. These creators somehow know how to force their maps to appear in discovery at the same time. This is either over publishing the map at the same time, or they are hacking.
My opinion, they have to be hacking. How is it possible for 6 of the same to appear in discovery dead on the same time? There is no way itâs luck by over publishing the maps at the same time.
How are these creators rewarded discovery time when they havenât spent time working on their maps?
On my second account, I copied one of my maps and published it to test on how quick it would get in discovery. Over 1 week, no discovery time.
What are they doing to appear at the same time?
Here is another problem with discovery. As you can see, the map coast line has been in the number 1 spot on the same tab for nearly 4 hours.
In this tab other maps including mine, change position every 10 to 40 minutes.
This map has stayed in the same position for nearly 4 hours!
Discovery is broken and maps are not getting shown properly on discovery.
If Epic wants creators to bring in new players to Fortnite, how is this possible on a broken system when new players are seeing repetitive maps on discovery.
Donât really see any copy/repeated maps in Roblox. Do they take it seriously on that platform?
Something needs to happen.
Epic seriously need to get a back bone and start banning people.

Even if the issue is scale ect just get someone to watch discovery all day and remove maps. I know Epic say they have no control over the disc algo but your not telling me they cannot remove maps once in disc if this is the case then its a major design flaw.

I wouldnât rule out the possibility that they just canât yet. I donât want to cause panic, but it could be much worse than what we think. Itâs like these exploiters are actually bypassing Epicâs systems somehow.
I donât think we have to worry too much. Epic has the resources to find a solution. We have to trust the process. We may not know about it, but Epic probably deployed various solutions already. Being silent may be the best move right now. Itâs harder to react to an unknown move than to a known one.
I hope nobody replies saying that I trust Epic too much. By using their platform, we are Epicâs partners. We have to trust each other. If trust is lost, whatâs keeping us here?
I somewhat agree but we can see the issue on disc everyday. If something was being done we wouldnât see the issue as frequently.
They can suspend the copies of maps easily. Put a post out that as of X date we are going to suspend copies of maps. So do it before we (Epic) do it for you, if you donât there will be X penalty.
