my son plays on the switch. it is something he has only brought to my attention recently but it seems as the all the creative inputs dont work. the main noticeable one is that it says push up on the D-pad to open the creative menu but instead it just opens the map. i have tried changing the controls and even taking every keybind for map off. it still does the same thing, it just opens the map.

for me it is as simple as loading into creative and trying to open the creative menu. it just opens the map instead.
Expected Result
im expecting the creative menu to open to the pre-made building that you can load in.
My son is also having this problem too when trying to access Creative menu by pressing the - button when trying create an island. It just brings up an overhead map view instead of the larger menu where you can select weapons etc.
So from my experience with customer service. It sounds a lot like I’m getting redirected because you cant fix the problem, common thing for support to do when they come to a dead end. Because as you state this forum is for creative and help making creative islands… The problem is for creative and is specifically to the functions of making said creative island, hence why i was directed to make the post here about the problem. Also the link that you posted just sends me to general support, where i would just be making yet another post. So thank you for doing what customer service does and redirects.
I agree with the original bug poster. Just trying to redirect both of us to the support channel doesn’t solve anything, especially when the article about what to do when you are having issues in the Creative links back to this particular forum (see attached pic)! It seems like Creative mode on the Switch version of Fortnite is just extremely buggy (it works 1 out of every 3 playing sessions) but there is no real desire from Epic to fix these issues.
Creative on a pc is highly performance eating can you actually create on a switch ? never tried but what i do know is i have a 100k limit due to switch users i believe so even tho im not using the switch i get the pain regardless
Oh an add some video or something showing the error itll help
