IS there a way to create your own sky dome in Unreal without affecting the skylight?
Hi there, this can be done but I need a bit more info from you first:
What do you mean by “without affecting the skylight”? Do you mean the SkyLight actor (indirect lighting) you can place in your scene?
If that is what you mean, the Skylight can be set dynamically to adjust to your custom skydome, or use a static cubemap that can preserve the lighting environment.
Also what are you wanting to make in your custom skydome? I have built a few custom skydomes before so let me know what you want to achieve with your system and I will try my best to answer it for you.
