I’m trying to create an ocean. I read around and this is what I’ve done so far:
I created a box, scaled it to 5000x5000, assigned a water material to it, and then put a landscape (maximum size) on top of that.
The ocean box is huge because I need it to look like a real, infinite ocean.
So, my question is: is this generally how you’d do it? What scares me is the sheer size of the object. Will it somehow impact performance or anything?
Or, is there a better way of doing it?
