Create a realistic waterfall in UE 5.2

Hello everyone, i’m in the path to become a VFX Artist.

I’m wondering how to efficently create a realistic waterfall for a videogame. I’ve searched the whole internet, but i couldn’t find anything related.

Can someone help me in this research?

Three basic methods:

  1. Buy fluid ninja (or another similar plugin that simulates fluids)

  2. Use a static mesh and create a panning material similarly to how you would make a river

  3. Use a particle system (like in niagara)
