Hello everyone, i’m in the path to become a VFX Artist.
I’m wondering how to efficently create a realistic waterfall for a videogame. I’ve searched the whole internet, but i couldn’t find anything related.
Can someone help me in this research?
Thanks to anyone that can help me through this!
Three basic methods:
Buy fluid ninja (or another similar plugin that simulates fluids)
FluidNinja LIVE - UseCase 7 LEVEL WALKTHROUGH - Waterfalls, Pools, Fountains - YouTube
Use a static mesh and create a panning material similarly to how you would make a river
Forest Stream Waterfall - Foam and Finishing Touches - YouTube
Use a particle system (like in niagara)
Waterfall Effect in UE4 Niagara Tutorial - YouTube
Hopefully that helps you get started!

Hi
You can buy my waterfall pack.It works with UE5 and contains modular assets for creating realistic waterfalls and a tutorial on how to use the assets.
You can create a waterfall with it in 15 mins.
