crashes while compiling shaders before render

hello, when i start render from sequencer ….its compiling all the shaders before starting render…while its compiling it stops at 2-3 percent then it crashes.

Hello there @aayatfilms!

Can you provide more details regarding the crash? What exact error is UE returning? Also, if there’s a crash log, you can share it here, and we can figure out the cause of the problem.

Where To Find Local Crash Reports

Crash reports from the editor are stored on your local machine in your project’s Saved/Crashes folder.

Alternatively, you can find crash reports on a user’s local machine in C:\Users[Your Windows Username]\AppData\Local[Project Name]\Saved\Crashes.

Still, as general fix for shader related problems, it always helps to make a clean install of your graphic drivers, and update them to the latest version. And if there’s a developer version available for use, those are usually the most stable for engine work.

hello sir ,thank you very much for reply,

i have added unrealeditor.exe and unrealeditor-cmd.exe to windows graphic settings and set it to high performance nvidia gpu ,it fixed the problem it was using intel UHD 770 IGPU,i also disabled it from device manager…and driver version iam using is 580.97 …its not latest there are two versions after that…i was using latest version while working on fracture and niagara…it was crashing too much…i switched to this version…i was using chatgpt to figure things out….it also told me this…

install one of these stable drivers:

  • :white_check_mark: 552.44 (May 2024) – rock-stable with UE 5.6

  • :white_check_mark: 560.94 (July 2024) – stable with Nanite + Lumen

Don’t use 580.xx (crash confirmed by Epic QA and community threads)
