This happens because Vulkan SM5 was left at 5.2/5.3 to allow support for nDisplay and Multiple Nvidia Graphics cards
Therefore Vulkan SM5 assumes two Graphic cards and this was a fix for a 5.2 function which had made developers buy two very expensive 4090 graphics .cards to use UE Editor Fast using Nvidia Sli and NVlink, very cheap fix to expensive problem.
UEFN/Fortnite 5.5 therefore crashes as Vulkan NOT supported
At least the UE5 MPU fix does NOT affect DX11 or DX12
Good feedback, thanks for clarifying. This means its an exposed setting that will crash all editors and needs to be hidden. Hopefully option gets removed to prevent unsuspecting crashes for users in the future
