Crash on Static Mesh reimport when loaded in prefab

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a prefab with a custom static mesh
  2. Place it in the scene
  3. Reimport the static mesh
  4. Observe crash

Expected Result

There should not be a crash when reimporting static mesh whilst prefabs containing these are placed within your level

Observed Result

The editor crashes whenever I reimport a static mesh that is currently assigned to a prefab within a loaded level. Reimporting static meshes while the prefab is not loaded does not cause a crash.

FORT-1067269 has been created and its status is ‘Unconfirmed’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

I get this too all the time, the workaround is… not great.
