preview meshing doesn’t use GPU, so therefore it is finished.
Regarding your issue, can you check this post: RC crashing on PC, but not laptop? Both high spec. - #5 by OndrejTrhan
The problem could be related to insufficient GPU for such CPU.
Also, can you check if it is not overheating during the process or if you have adequate power supply?
