Convert fbx/gltf scene import to a blueprint, while keeping full hierarchy?

Hi,

I’m importing FBX files of complex machinery with multiple levels of hierarchy (i.e. I have assemblies with subassemblies which have their own mix of parts/subassemblies) using the FBX scene import, works great. However, I then want to create a blueprint similar to the datasmith BP, i.e. I can drag it from the content browser into the level/a different level.

When I use ‘convert actor to blueprint’ then all hierarchies are flattened which is a problem. Is there any way to keep the hierarchies without manually building a BP (which would require thousands of drag and drops…)?

The reason I’m using the FBX scene importer and not Datasmith is that I’m converting the files with pixyz instead, for optimization, so it’s already an FBX.
