I am an indie game dev working on my first title, Space Corps, a digital card game based on the CCG Toolkit. I am currently looking for a programmer to integrate Steam multiplayer into the project.
The current goal of the project is to get a demo published to Steam. The card game is now in a state where it can be tested for both features and balance. Your task will be to take the currently existing game and integrate multiplayer components to create a Steam publishable build that includes:
- Steam accounts integrated into the game. (no separate login or options, just pull their info from steam and put it in the game)
- Basic 1v1 matchmaking over steam network. (join queue and wait until another player joins, then launch the two into a game)
- Invite to Game via Steam friends list. (player clicks to accept and it launches the two players into a game)
The CCG Toolkit comes with basic player identification and networking. Players have a default avatar and unique identifier, and can already connect via LAN to another hosted session. After adding steam accounts, matchmaking and invites, the build will be uploaded to Steam as a demo to start getting feedback. However, there will be more contract work to be done. I already have 2 more work orders prepared to be started after the completion of this one.
This needs to be completed by the end of March 2025. Please only contact me if you are confident you can complete this task by then. This is for paid contract work. Please reply to steven.ushman@gmail.com
