Console not showing in 5.5

Hi there,

I have the ~ key for console as is standard and it shows up in 5.4.4 in standalone mode.

However, in 5.5, regardless of what I do, the key does not bring up the console in standalone mode.

tried enabling and disabling realtime mode but no difference.

Can someone please help out?

A similar issue was encountered in another thread, and the method below was the solution. Please test this for your scenario:

Hello, The shortcut that you’ve set in Editor Preferences only handles opening up the console while you are working in the editor. Once you begin playing, that hotkey will not work. What you’ll need to do is go into Edit->Project Settings->Input and look under the Console tab. You’ll see there that you can add additional keys that will open up the console. Have a great day

Thanks for this, I actually did have the console mapped to the ’ key but it showed some stats. I mapped it to some other key and it works now.
