Added the type of hardware (Desktop / Laptop) to the model, to make it easier to identify what hardware, the engine is running. If you can edit your posts, so the topic becomes more informative.
In the future we could migrate topic for a Wiki page.
I am even using it as a base to buy a PC to develop using the unreal.

For those who wish, in topic (How to Improve Frame Rate Through Video Settings) has a tip on how to increase the framerate a bit editor.

Was not able to open the editor on my macbook, so I followed the hint answer: https://answers.unrealengine/questions/15742/editor-closes-moments-after-being-opened-mac.html
And the editor opened normally, but it is a very low framerate.

OS:
Type: iMac 27" Late 2011
Processor: i5 2.7G
Memory: 12Gb
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512MB
Average fps: 3FPS average - Normally between 0.5 and 7 FPS
Settings: On lowest settings and texture material set to Low quality also
Notes: Completely unusable on machine. Turned all post processing off, turned off reflections, light sources, turned off real time… saw no difference in performance whatsoever. Navigating the scene is jittery as hell…

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
Type: user built system using a Gigabyte GA-78LMT motherboard
Processor: AMD FX-4150
Memory: 16gb
Graphics: FirePro v3900
Average fps: 18-24fps when running the Reflections content
Settings: Quality is set to auto.
Notes: I’m posting so people know how it runs using a entry level Professional video card. The editor is usage and my system running it is very stable. I purchased the video card for quality content development of high polygon models for normal and height maps, not for playing video games at blazing fast speeds.

======= PZurita =========
OS: Windows 7 SP1 64bit
Type: Desktop
Processor: Intel Core i7 3960X @ 3.30Ghz
Memory: 32GB DDR3
Graphics: Geforce 680 GTX (4GB)
Average fps: 60 FPS
Settings: None
Notes: Excellent performance in-editor and out. Two monitors, one running at 1920x1200 and the other one at 1200x1920 which I use for Visual Studio. Got 8GB allocated for a ram disk.

OS:
Type: MacBook Air Mid 2012
Processor: i5 1.8G
Memory: 8G
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000
Average fps: 15-20FPS
Settings:20 on lowest settings, with a completely empty scene
Notes: Changing graphics settings barely seems to affect anything. Goes from 15FPS on epic so 20FPS on lowest, with the default empty scene with the skybox deleted. Also, there is persistent and intermittent pixel graphic corruption that flickers around the UI. (Will file a bug report on that.)

======= JYatesAccordion =========
OS: Windows 7 (64)
Type: Desktop
Processor: Intel i5-2500K @ 3.3Ghz
Memory: 20GB
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 285
Average fps: 60-120 fps (varied)
Settings: None
Notes: Only have any lag on command entry when moving large geometry or attempting to undo previous actions. Aside from that, everything is absolutely smooth.

Processor: i7-4800MQ
Memory: 8Gb
Graphics: Nvidia GT755M
Average fps: 15-45
Settings: set everything to low
Notes: Bought laptop mostly for development on the go. Seems to uphold nicely with UE4

======= WetBass =========
OS: Windows 8 64bit
Type: Desktop
Processor: AMD FX-8150 Black Edition X8 3.6GHz
Memory: 8Gb
Graphics: Radeon HD 7970
Average fps: 60-120
Settings: Epic

======= ViRiX =========
OS: <Windows 8.1 x64>
Type: Desktop
Processor: Intel Q6600 2.4 GHz Quad Core. No HT.
Memory: 8 gigs
Graphics: GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Average fps: Around 40 to 60 in most cases
Settings: None
Notes: I keep having an with Compiling shaders taking forever. It does it even when I try to drag a material into the scene. I’m seeing some stuff about CPUs needing to be able to use Hyper Threading, but not sure. I know I keep mentioning , but it’s kind of preventing me from using the engine at all as I mainly want to mess around with the look of things before I go too in depth… plus it slows everything else down.

Hope that helps. The engine and stuff in it runs fine otherwise.

======= duburlan =========
OS: Windows 7 64bit SP1
Type: ASUS N53SV laptop
Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M 2.3GHz
Memory: 8Gb
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M
Average fps: ~12
Settings: High quality
Notes: The FPS is measured for the Blueprints Office demo. Unreal Engine built from the brunch (v4.1.0).

OS: Mac OSx 10.9.2
Type: Laptop (MacBook Pro 13’ Mid 2012)
Processor: 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5
**Memory: **16GB
Graphics: Intel HD4000
Average fps: 15~25fps (depends on scene and preview viewport size)

with small viewport size engine can give about 30-35 fps on simple demos like Tappy Chicken

Is that related to ULTRA settings?

======= =========
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit
Type: Desktop(Custom)
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz
Memory: 8GB
Graphics: GTX 660Ti
Average FPS: 80-100fps (Depends on amount of objects, lowest I’ve had is around 60 on finished maps)
Settings: None
Notes: Having ongoing where UE4 will cause nVidia Drivers to crash and they do not recover which means I’m losing work due to having to turn my computer off to restart. Windows can not find a solution either. It happens mostly when I am building lighting (I do use Importance Volumes)

My Development/Gaming Setup: ://pcpartpicker/p/3c2xh …Freaking sick!..I want your salary :smiley:
