Collision particles disappear on overhang

When particle with collision runs down a surface through constant acceleration it will disappear as soon as it reaches a overhang. Obviously a waterdrop for instance would fall off the surface but here it just vanishes.

Is this a bug? Or is there any way to make it at least fade out?

Can you post a little more info? Maybe some screenshots or a movie of the behavior as well as screenshots of your setup please?

Are these GPU particles with Depth Collison, or CPU particles?

Yea, GPU particles with depth collision. Here is a gif showing the issue:

As you can see close to the bottom of the sphere most of the particles just vanish. Their lifetime is with around 15 seconds very long.

It basically uses Collision Scene Depth with Stop at collision, Initial velocity and a slow Constant Acceleration.

I’m not sure anymore what is causing it but on overhangs it is the most clear but some of the particles behave normally there. I tried playing around with settings but could not find anything that fixes it except using no Constant Acceleration at all but then they also don’t move obviously.
