Classic Bouncer (Devices > Bouncer Gallery) Behavior Changed – All Parameter Values Now Launch Shorter

Summary

The Classic Bouncer device (from Devices > Bouncer Gallery) appears to have had a significant change in behavior following the most recent Fortnite update. Despite no changes to device parameters in UEFN, bouncers now launch players considerably shorter distances — especially when bouncing straight upward, where launch height is reduced by approximately 65%. Horizontal trajectories are also shortened (to about 65% of their previous range), and players now experience a slight drift to the right upon activation. This unannounced change has disrupted gameplay across multiple maps that rely on precise bouncer mechanics, particularly in parkour-based islands. Clarification is urgently needed on whether this is an intentional change, and if so, advance notice or support tools are essential to prevent further disruption.

Steps to Reproduce

1.	Open UEFN and place a Classic Bouncer from Devices > Bouncer Gallery in a blank island.
2.	Set Bounce Launch and Forward Launch values to any configuration previously known to reach a target platform or height.
3.	Enter play mode and trigger the bouncer by stepping or jumping onto it.
4.	Observe the reduced launch height/distance and slight directional drift.

Expected Result

Bouncer should launch players consistently based on set parameters — e.g., a straight-up bounce should reach its expected vertical height, and a forward bounce should travel the full intended horizontal distance as previously tested.

Observed Result

•	Vertical launches are significantly nerfed — players now reach only ~35% of the previous height using the same Bounce Launch value.
•	Forward/horizontal launches now cover roughly 65% of the previous distance.
•	Players are also being nudged slightly to the right upon activation, even when launched straight up.
•	These changes occurred without altering any device parameters and have disrupted obstacle flow and timing in existing maps.

Additional Notes

•	This issue impacts floor, wall, and free-standing placements of the Classic Bouncer.
•	All 8 of my parkour maps were broken overnight by this change.
•	I was forced to implement manual hotfixes, adjusting bounce values one-by-one to restore timing and reach — a time-consuming process.
•	If a reversion/fix is being considered, please provide advance notice so creators can prepare. Otherwise, this could break maps a second time.
•	If the change was intentional, it should be documented in patch notes, and ideally, a “legacy mode” toggle should be introduced for creators relying on previous bouncer physics.
