Summary

HELP - I have spent let’s just say ALOT of hours in the past 2-3 weeks making a game and now I am at a dead stop with it, and I am unable to release it without it being a terrible representation of what I have created. It’s been this way since the season 2 update, and this is due to bugs with sequencers, team balancing, and HUD message devices. At the start it was way more bugs, but I reworked things to where it is only these ones now.

1-Cinematic Sequence Device: All sequencers work on round 1, but as soon as round 2 comes there is no telling which ones will break. (This happens when testing in the editor and when in my playtest version.)

2-Team Balancing: When a prop is eliminated, they get spawned on the prop team side, as a hunter, but without the weapons. (This happens only in the playtest version and not when testing in the editor.)

3-Hud Message Device: Showing in the wrong colors randomly, basically none of them show as the color or size that I have set (Pretty sure this happened in all versions.)

The biggest of the problems is the sequencer and team balance issues, since they both have a lot to do with the gameplay, the HUD message device doesn’t matter as much comparatively.

Steps to Reproduce

1-Set sequencers to play always, during gameplay, or on any event that is possible, and see if they work past round 1. Likely, half will break.
2-Set team to switch on elimination using class selector device or any device/settings. Likely the eliminated player will spawn in the wrong place, with the wrong items.
3-Set multiple HUD message devices to show in different colors and sizes and bind them to an event. They will likely not show as they should.

Expected Result

1-Cinematic sequence devices should ALWAYS play when they are set to play.
2-Teams should switch properly when using class selector or any device/settings that is known to work, and then should spawn on the pads that their teams are assigned to, with the items and weapons that they are set to get.
3-HUD message devices should always show in the correct size/color/position that they are set to show in.

Observed Result

1-Some sequencers stop playing after round 1, some keep playing. Some that played on round 1 don’t play on round 6 for example. They are completely broken.
2-Players do not get spawned at correct spawners or on correct team or get given correct items on elimination.
3-HUD message devices do not show in correct size/color/position.

I just want to say I fully understand how complex and gigantic of a system this all must be, and I will forever be grateful for everybody at Epic Games for what they do and have done, and will never be able to thank you guys enough for the opportunities that we have been given by all of this. Been a heck of a journey so far. I also understand that with updates comes bugs, and that it takes time to work through those bugs, so, if anyone reads this from Epic, no pressure, we understand, and we get it. Least some of us that is. On the flip side, if we could get some of these bugs addressed sooner than later, that would be amazing :rofl:. I spent a lot of time working on this one, learned so much while making it, and I just wanna release it as soon as possible. It also has easter themed stuff so that’s another reason I am anxious to get it out.
