I’m excited to dive back into the world of lighting. Here’s a glimpse of an ongoing lighting test I’m working on, aiming to explore the diverse effects I can achieve with this setup.
Hi there @joolsh,
Hope you’re doing well and having a great week so far
Love the lighting in this and how you scaled this environment. It’s such a small area but it’s absolutely filled with detail. The foliage, cobblestones, and contrasting lighting create such a lovely project to experience. Beautifully done
Thanks for taking the time to share your art with us here on the forums. How long did this project take you to create and what new lighting “trick” did you discover from this testing?
I appreciate your response; it means a lot. Setting everything up didn’t take too much time, just a day or two. Content came from MegaScans so all I had to do was rough layout/set dress of a environment which gave me more time to focus on the lighting which is my main objective.
I’m currently navigating the world of lighting in UE5, and given that I’m using a Mac, I’ll be skipping ray tracing since I don’t think Macs can handle it right now. Plus, I recently got an M2 and won’t be upgrading to an M3 anytime soon Thanks again; I value any input you can provide.
Even without raytracing, this turned out wonderfully. I look forward to seeing what dreamlike-light projects you create in the future!
