Checking In: Mover 2.0 support for RVO/Detour avoidance

Hi folks,

Wanted to touch base to see if there’s an update on RVO/Detour support for Mover 2.0.

Curious if the timeline for this has crystalized a bit more with the progress towards 5.6 since our previous [check [Content removed] during February?

We’re assessing if we should continue moving forward with a local solution.

Hello!

We have not added RVO or Detour avoidance for Mover just yet. It is still in our roadmap to address, but it has not been the most pressing item for the development. With that being said, we did make use of MassAvoidance and a new Mass-Mover translator for the Witcher 4 demo at UnrealFest. There were some project-specific optimizations that are not present in the processors in the engine, but all core functionality should be very similar. The MassAvoidance and Mover solution is very experimental as all of the plugins being used are themselves experimental. It is included as part of 5.6 with a new MoverIntegrations plugin that should contain the Mass-Mover translators.
