Chaos on Wheels - New vehicular combat game

Major Update: New Game Mode, Melee Combat, and Decals!

Game Mode - Team Deathmatch

I hope you are a team player because teams are here. Now with the new game mode, you will never be alone, your teammates are here to steal your kills. Basically, it’s the same as Deathmatch, but with two teams. Red and Blue team. Now you can destroy your brother/sister/friend/family/anybody-who-dares-oppose-you in this classic game mode of battle to the death in our splitscreen mode, and leave them and their team as sore losers. If you’re not that bloodthirsty and actually wish to play with people around you, worry not. You can select to play on the same team and enjoy destroying everybody else, together.

Melee Combat

This one is a sh*t tons of fun for me personally. While shooting friends down is fun but ramming them is ten times more fun. With melee attack support implemented, now you can ram other vehicles and damage them. Ramming only works with the front of the car, and damage depends on several factors. Impact direction (front/back/side of the car), speed vector, weight, front armor, bonus factors, etc.
Also, there is something special about making other cars go airborne after knocking the hell out of them while they weren’t ready. That is at least for me. Let me know how you’re having fun with melee combat.

Gamepad Aim Assist

We understand this is skill demanding game, driving fast and aiming precisely simultaneously is indeed difficult. To make it a bit easier for our gamepad players we implemented aim assist. Aim assist works only for the gamepad, and it can be turned on or off in the settings.

Car customization - Decals

Some cars just deserve those stripes and we know it. We added support for decals, and right now even though selection is limited, we’re so proud to slap those nice-looking stripes on our car and just enjoy the result. We hope you will too.

Bugfixing and balancing

As usual, we fixed some minor issues, tried to balance things out, and made the overall experience more awesome. Let us know how you’re having fun in Chaos on Wheels, and who you’re playing with on splitscreen.

-Acodeon Team-

Hello everyone! :waving_hand:

Some of you may remember our first game, Chaos on Wheels (Chaos on Wheels on Steam), a project that started with just two friends wanting to bring car combat back to players. It was our first step into the genre, and although it wasn’t everything we dreamed of, it gave us priceless experience and taught us a lot about what works - and what doesn’t.

Now, we’re excited to share what’s next: Chaos on Wheels 2.
This time, it’s built from the ground up as a fully online multiplayer arena car combat game - faster, sharper, and designed around community feedback. Our goal is to finally deliver the true car combat experience we’ve always wanted to create.

To give you a first look at the project, we have prepared an early gameplay trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tZv8n1qjMQ

:loudspeaker: We’re hosting an alpha playtest this September (18–21), both online and on-site at our office in Osijek.

  • Sign up and get a free Steam key

  • Play early, share your feedback, and help us shape the future of Chaos on Wheels 2

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts and see you in the arena! :high_voltage:
