Changing Skeletal Mesh Components Causes AnimBlueprint or Animation Assets to Freeze

I’m having some trouble with my Character Customisation blueprint. When I start the level and run the character creation UMG widget I have no issues with the “idle animation” that is playing and looping. When I customise the character by changing a skeletal mesh component like the hair or shirt ect it causes the character to freeze in place but the customisation continues to work just with no animations playing.

Is there a way I can call the animation blueprint to reset once the skeletal mesh component updates or is there something simple I’m missing?
