Changing Booths have an icon that goes through walls and shows everywhere, cant be turned off

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

Devices

Summary

As seen in the pic, the icon shows through geometry and to the other side of the map, and there is no setting on the device to turn it off. This makes the device unusable, because we don’t want a floating icon showing in games at all times.

Steps to Reproduce

Place a phone booth,
Place any geometry around it
Go behind geometry and look at phone booth’s direction.

Expected Result

You can turn off the icon through the device settings so it doesn’t show

Observed Result

Icon shows through geometry making us not be able to use the device as it breaks immersion

This one has annoyed me the longest

Replying because this seems to have been closed because it can’t be reproduced…

Load into literally any map that utilises the Changing Booth Device and you will be greeted with the bug, the icon does more harm than good, would be easier to just remove it, creators can add their own beacons if they want it back

Yes, I agree, no one wants that icon…

Yeah not sure why it was closed with no repro. Maybe whoever tested didn’t launch the game but looked at edit mode? @Stevie-Moon can we re-open this ticket? I added more info to it to help its repro

@Wertandrew Thank you. I have forwarded this information to Flak. It will be looked into in the morning!

100% support some way for us to turn this off. For as long as I’ve been making games in Fortnite, I have never used the changing booth for this very reason. I can see some usefulness to having the ability to see where it is, but not all the time and definitely not during a game.

Bump

This is still happening, unless I’m missing a setting, but playing with components causes validation issues

“if you set the changing booth UI_InteractionPoint_Upgrade location height to 100000 they will only see the beacon if they look directly upwards, it’s not perfect but it will remove it from their normal field of vision”

i suggested a workaround on twitter recently, is that what you are referring to when you say “playing with components causes validation issues”?

Oh cool, thank you very much, thats a little bit better…

I think I kept playing with too many of its other components settings at once and some things I was changing wouldn’t let me upload.
