Summary

Changing the Global Illumination setting under Graphics Quality will reset CH5 day sequences, also subsequently ignoring any other value changes from day sequence devices unless level is reloaded.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. change time of day manager to ch5 day sequence
  2. add Day Sequence device to level
  3. change settings on the device (ie. disable the volumetric clouds by ticking Clouds, change fog colour/density)
  4. in the graphics settings menu, change global illumination quality

Expected Result

none - the day sequence should keep the modified values set by the day sequence device

Observed Result

day sequence resets to default

haven’t tested under a private code/published map (or other platforms). ch4 day sequence doesn’t appear to be affected by this bug.

UCB-1207 incident has been created. Status is ‘Awaiting Validation’.

Thanks for the report! We have fixed this issue and it will be resolved in an upcoming release.

Just following up, this issue should be resolved in the future still. We identified the issue a bit too late to fix it for the just-released version of UEFN.
