This is kind of a awkward problem. I’m seeing pretty frequent rendering of menus in the rocket editor in black. The wierd part is that I attempted to capture video with open broadcaster of me clicking the menus around the interface to show they are rendering black but whenever OBS is capturing, the menus display fine, so presumably it’s a video related problem at some level.
Hi Jeremy,
I have tested this using Open Broadcaster, but was unable to reproduce the issue. You said this was occurring before using the video capture, so I am wondering if it is a bad install issue. Could you try reinstalling Rocket? Also, check to make sure that your graphics card is on the latest good driver. Please let me know if this changes anything.
Thank you,
Alexander
The relevant part of using open broadcaster is that whenever it is capturing I can’t seem to get these particular menus to render black, but when it is not capturing or even running, a bunch of them render black or messed up in various ways. I’m unable to attach an .mp4 that is a different video capture of various messed up popup windows within the blueprint editor. It’s an h264 encoded movie that’s only about 3.2 meg but I guess the file extension isn’t allowed for attachments.
I can’t seem to connect to ftp.epicgames.net to upload it right now either.
I’ll verify driver update and reinstall rocket and see.
It appears I am running the latest 320.49 drivers.
I couldn’t reproduce this issue with those drivers. Based on your screenshots, it looks like you are running windows 7 without desktop compositing on. If that is the case can you try enabling that ( My Computer->Properties->Advanced System Settings->Performance Options->Enable Desktop Composition). Additionally try to enable the one of the windows 7 aero themes. Rocket is supported without these features enabled but knowing if these make any difference would help out.
