Casting shadows with a 2d sprite

I have ticked every box I can find with cast shadows… When I focus a directional, point or spot light… it just doesn’t cast a shadow on a plane behind it… Any ideas?

Shadow casting for sprites was broken in 4.3 and earlier builds. It is fixed as of the 4.4 preview release and future releases.

If you are using the 4.4 preview and still have problems, can you post a picture of your setup?
