I’m trying to get a system running where I install a VR experience on Quest 2, which then connects to a local server and I’m able to see what the user is seeing on my computer. I have tried pixel streaming for a third person file with works perfectly, but is there a way to run it directly on the quest without using a computer?
Or is there a way around using the signaling server?
Hi there!
Unfortunately there isn’t any way to stream a Pixel Streaming experience from a mobile device.
Pixel Streaming depends on the signalling server and the infrastructure to work and won’t work without.
You can stream a VR experience from PC to Quest 2, but there is a bit of latency with this. If you’re interested in streaming a users view from the Quest 2 you may need to use the Quests casting functionality and stream the resulting view.
Can I ask what kind of setup you had in mind?

Hey @MWillWallT , thanks for the response.
Basically, I need live footage of the display of the headset which I can stream on a device connected to the local network.
I want to avoid using meta’s feature to create a better and custom user experience.
